We live Steamboat. We LOVE Steamboat.

At Home Workouts

In anticipation of our newest launch – the all new Bodyworks eMag! – we have all things health and wellness on the brain. So, this week, we asked Rebecca Williams of Mountain Fit to lay out a great at-home workout that can be done when you’re snowed in, at a hotel, or in a time crunch. And of course, she delivered! Check it out and grab those weights! (And, to sign up for that new Bodyworks? Just click here and it will be delivered to your inbox next week.)

Snow is falling, the fireplace is crackling, and the driveway needs to be plowed.  Sometimes we are just meant to stay home, catch up on life and practice self care. Soak up some downtime, read a book, catch up on your list of things to do, and prioritize time to take care of yourself.  Make taking care of your physical health a priority; it will re-energize you and improve your emotional health at the same time. So, throw on a pair of tennis shoes, crank up some good tunes, and follow this simple at home circuit.

Grab your phone and download the free Interval Timer App.  Set the timer to 1 minute intervals, turn on your music and get ready to be pushed. The Interval Timer will be your guide- you will complete each exercise for 1 minute and it will buzz at you at the end of each minute telling you when it is time to move to the next exercise. You can repeat this workout as many times as you need, or use it as a quick home workout. This workout is a great combination of strength and cardio and will leave you feeling sweaty and rejuvenated!  All you need is a set of weights and you are ready to go.  Don’t have weights? Don’t let that discourage you. You can still get a great workout without using any weights with this circuit!

  1. Jog in Place
  2. Squats
  3. Speed Skaters
  4. Overhead Tricep Extensions (Tricep dips if you don’t have weights)

  12. Left Foot Lunge w/ Overhead Press

  16. Bicycle Crunches

(If you’re not sure what each of these exercises is, just Google it! You’ll get the hang of it in no time.)
