Where to have Thanksgiving in Steamboat

In town visiting for the long weekend? Or at home but just don’t feel like cooking? Not quite sure what your plans are yet? We’ve got you covered – here are a few options for where to have Thanksgiving in Steamboat this year.

Each year, The Cabin at the Steamboat Grand offers a fabulous Thanksgiving buffet. Served from 1-7 pm (with the last reservation at 6:30) you can expect a traditional Thanksgiving dinner plus extras. Reservations are required: (970) 871-5550.
$53 for adults/$17 for kids/under 5’s are free with an adult.

Another annual staple in Steamboat? The Routt County United Way Community Thanksgiving Dinner, served from 1-5 pm at the Steamboat Community Center. All are welcome – you can eat a meal, donate a dish or volunteer to serve. Visit routtcountyunitedway.org for more details.

Or, you can head to Rex’s for their take on a Thanksgiving buffet (we heard there’s a prime rib in addition to the turkey). Sides and pie will be in abundance. Call 970-870-0438 for reservations.
$40 for adults ($35 for Rex’s members)/$15 for kids

Aurum is offering a traditional Thanksgiving menu starting at 3 pm, and, if you don’t actually feel like eating turkey you can order off their regular (slightly reduced) menu instead. Nachos, anyone? Call 970-879-9500 for reservations.

And, if you want to stay home but just don’t feel like cooking, you can pick up your entire meal from Drunken Onion – the turkey comes pre-cooked or ready to cook and you can choose from sides like sausage and roast chestnut stuffing or pancetta and hazelnut green beans…yes please. Just don’t forget the pie! Order on their website: drunkenonion.com

Now…how to choose?!
